Wow.
I read a lot of manga lately, it's a wonder my eyes don't pop up. Finishing the entire series of Eyeshield 21, rereading tonnes of shoujo shorts, and even some seinen pieces. I guess I still don't have the stomach for Berserk. Claymore still rocks though.
And yeah, Inuyasha is FINALLY over. God, I followed it for so long that it seriously was about damn time. The ending was not bad, considering some crappy alternatives like Mx0's and Hikaru no Go. (I still can't believe they lost the last tournament just because the Korean government wasn't happy that Shindo whopped their butts!)
There's also lots and lots of books that I read during the mid-year hols. Discovered a few cool series that are sort of girly but not quite; like the Symphony of Ages, the Queen of Orcs, Tairen Soul, Eve Dallas's stuff and everything by Richelle Mead. I still haven't read the Host by Stephenie Meyer yet, so hold your breath. It seems more mature than her previous series, though. I'm all for it as long as it doesn't have an angsting hot teenage vampire and his hot teenage girlfriend with lots of issues. Teenage romances which include a high school setting always turn me off. They're always having the few key plot lines.
1) Hot female lead 2) Hot male lead 3) Hot male best friend who has a crush on hot female lead, for, lyk, 4evah! 4) Bitchy girl who likes hot male lead - apparently hottuh(!) than hot female lead. - Bonus points if bitchy girl has a tendency to wear mini-skirts, has blonde hair and is cheerleader. - Extra bonus points if bitchy girl comes with sidekicks! 5) Erm. High school angst? 6) Parents constantly (gasp!) misunderstanding hot leads.
If that sounds familiar to you, burn that book immediately. I'm really thinking of writing a parody of the high school romances. I mean, some cliches are okay, but the extremes? Die!
One cool thing, when I when back to school yesterday, they actually put me in the Christian Fellowship photo; even though I'm not even part of the school! I didn't partake in the class photo, though. I was already scared enough after the CF photo, with the fact that my hair was out of school regulations, my earrings way beyond school rules and the fact that I wasn't even wearing school uniform. Huh. Someone has to really buy me an extra copy. *cough* Shuk *cough*. And the picture of class 4S. I might want to show off a little. XD
PS: I just realised that Hui Ting just realised that there actually is a place to tag in my blog. Lol. PPS: Jeshua's birthday today - and I just realised I haven't bought him a birthday gift. And Keith's b-day is tomorrow...! List of ppl owed (in no particular order) 1) Khye Chwin 2) Shuk 3) Ivan (though I won't know what to get him. like ever.) 4) Mei Yin 5) Omar
