Female. 17. Someone who needs this blog because - I don't always say what I mean and I don't always mean what I say. And here I let it all out. Living life and loving it. <3

Today, I missed Mrs. Yap's meeting. And as a punishment, because Sonal attended but Kelly and Karyn didn't; I have to do this Monday's MORNING ASSEMBLY AS WELL. It's a WHAT THE HELL situation. But it's not like I can do much other than whine about it, due to the fact I'm essentially a slave once I volunteered to be an assembly presenter. Being an assembly presenter sucks in a way because some people know me as the emcee. Probably with more colourful adjectives before the noun, and few good.
I went to Hougang mall to eat lunch with Hui Ting, Shi Li, Jia Yun and Zhiling. Zhiling was strangely hyper today, of which I totally approved because of her many witty comments to teachers today that was practically one of the few things that kept me awake. Hui Ting entertained us thoroughly with her method of eating ice-cream. At least, me and Jia Yun. I think she could totally be famous if we filmed one day in her life and sold it as a TV-drama or something. She certainly is a great source of drama. And strange noises.
And yeah, today's also Camille's birthday. It's a little depressing because it's a reminder that my birthday is approaching and I don't want to face the disappointment of everyone in KL forgetting it. And the fact that no one would care and they would have to celebrate anyway because that's what the scholars comittee is supposed to do during any scholar's birthday. I'm pretty sure it'd be awkward when my turn comes; everyone would drag themselves downstairs, sing monotonously and trudge back up after tasting miniscule scraps of birthday cake. It sounds horrible even now, two weeks before.
I realize that Singaporeans apparently view birthdays differently. Back in KL, it's a really big thing. You can actually tell whose birthday it is simply by looking at one's desk, usually stuffed with gifts or listening to the faint sounds of singing from assorted classes. There's always a big commotion in recess in which everyone chip in to buy a cake from Secret Recipe or other cake stores where everyone whip out cameras to take pictures of the celebratee, accompanied with squeals of excitement. I still remember pictures of Bryan having more cake on his face and shirt than in his mouth. And there's always birthday parties, celebrations. But there's hardly any here. I guess it could be because I'm so unpopular that I don't get any notice, but I doubt it. >_<"
Celebrating someone's birthday, and giving them a present is like saying: "I'm glad you were born on this special day." It's a bit sad that few actually follow this practice.
We also have a new Social Studies teacher today, and made us all introduce ourselves which was funny as hell because all three Nicholas'es changed identity. Nicholas Lam loved to sing, Nicholas Lim loved NCC and Nicholas Khaw loved... something that Nicholas Lam liked, but since I didn't really pay attention (Zhiling again), I missed it. Zhiling introduced herself as being full of crap, of which I assume is a by-product from the euphoria of the concluded Xinthesis. (She was fantastic, today) Wei Kang pretended to be a scholar for Indonesia, it worked so well that she actually asked him the political situation of the different races in Indonesia. Wei Kang elaborated with the fake accent on the pains Indonesian Chinese faced in education. It's actually the first time in which our Social Studies teacher wholeheartedly believed in what they taught - an entirely bad thing. It made the propaganda more stark.
She also expounded on the many pains of Malaysian Chinese in obtaining higher education. I pretended to be intrigued and said; "Really? Wow, I didn't know." She believed me and said, "Yes, it's true." And she continued on to me.
I noticed I never really write about class. I guess it's because I never really felt that I had the "right" to do so before.
Money Owed: (Hui Ting) $3.80 (one cheeseburger + one coke)
