I now have four piercings in total for both my ears.
In all actuality, I really wanted to have like triple piercings in one of my ear, and a single on the other. BUT my mum was saying that it'll hurt a lot so I didn't really dare to. Besides, I'm pretty sure some teachers might get ticked off with me being a 'scholar' and all... The problem now is how I'm going to pull off wearing the piercings in school. For one thing, the first day of school always has the strictest attire check. And with my fringe, (of which I have to trim myself) and my piercings, I think I'm going to have quite a bit of trouble.
To all those goody-goody scholars out there. Do NOT follow my footsteps. If you do, be subtle about it and pretend you didn't get the idea from me. So I don't get into trouble.
Then again, Devina called me goody-goody because my eyes could not stand Forty Year Old Virgin and because I refused to ogle and the guys playing frisbee half-naked. =.= Also, she called me stick. This nickname shall seem very significant when I elaborate on our lovely adventures in Singapore. Hell, it's funny even now; with me being the furthest possible creature resembling a stick.
Um. Yeah. About the stick thing, one of Shuk's cousin, Nadia; heard Dev calling me a stick. Being an exuberant four year old, she liked the nickname, thought it catchy and began proclaiming everyone within a meter radius a stick; including here. I called Dev a giraffe in return, being the unfairly tall person she was, in comparison to my pathetic height. This nick name was mangled into a zebra by Nadia. Seeing our looks at her naming others a stick, she began using the word in even more enthusiasm, even once announcing that it is her ambition to become a stick.
I was so, so, so glad that I didn't call Dev, Siow or Shuk, freak throughout our stay there. Otherwise, truly, I'm pretty sure the girls' parents would have chased us out of the house with carving knives or something.
Anyway, three of us went to assorted shopping destinations in Singapore, since most stores are having sales for the End of Year and stuff for Christmas. We bought three shirts, with assorted messages (Mine was the ALG 101: ALL GIRLS ARE EVIL) for $10, only for me to come back to Malaysia and listen to my brother gloat about how he bought his for RM5. Boo. I didn't buy as much stuff as I would like, 'coz nothing really appealed to me; especially when I am reminded about the pathetically small cupboard we are allocated in boarding school. Dev bought her belt, Shuk bought her CDs from HMV.
And the story about HMV?
Okay, I must first admit that I have the directional sense of a rock. I get lost in parking lots. So yeah.
Erm so. Three of us went to Orchard, and in the grand total, got lost about FIVE times. We actually passed two MRT stations from Orchard. Seriously. We kept asking directions and kept getting the WRONG direction.
So later when we wanted to go to HMV, we walked and walked.... And walked past Takashimaya.... And walked more to the next MRT station..... And was completely confused until Shuk realised we were too far off. All of us were already freakishly tired and all conversation was already at a standstill. We then backtracked when my tired mind processed the three letters we were looking for HMV. And it was practically next to Takashimaya!!!
Even after we finally reached HMV and attempted to walk towards Far East Plaza for dinner we got lost. FOR WE WALKED THE COMPLETELY WRONG DIRECTION. (we did get free starbucks, so it wasn't that bad) When I asked for directions a second time, the uncle was like; "Far East Plaza? It's very far away la. More than fifteen minutes walk... You know TANGS there? Turn right there after you walk all the way." AND WE WEER ALMOST AT PLAZA SINGAPURA ALREADY. All three of us were totally "WTF!" and proceeded to curse the lady who gave us directions. We wanted to confront her
Far east--------- HMV------------------Plaza Sing
(initially at Orchard MRT, to HMV; after walking past it, backtracked, then walked towards plaza Sing, then all the way back to Far east then to HMV again to finally buy Shuk's CDs...).
... tiring?
you bet.
