Damn am I tired.
But hey, at least the CNY thing is over.
I was constantly worried about the execution of the entire thing, fretting over every single detail; forever thinking that something had gone irrevocably WRONG and everything was gonna fail. But thank God, it didn’t. At least, not really. (Ms. Sia says I’m too negative, I’m NOT, okay)
The scholars were very cooperative, as most of them felt that the dinner was for them to have fun, and not for them to pretend to be cool and care what other people think about them. So they really participated in the games, so much so it was really funny. Especially the longest line when some people took out their money to elongate their line only to have a strong gust of wind blow all their money away. Lol.
And April and gang (which includes Yee Teng’s friends) threw shoes at each other while I tortured the frayed ends of my patience to get the programme running in such a way that did not embarrass the entire integrity of the organising committee. =.=” They also baked gorgeous pastries, on a not-so related thought.
I was continuously bullied by Indonesian scholars though. (My received insults were ranged from; fat and ugly to short and perverted. Did wonders for my non-existent self esteem) *glowers at Adi for bad influence* Although, I admit I quite deserved it coz I kept calling him short back. XP (Also, M’sian juniors called me Fatimah due to my tan. Lovely)
Then the visit to Chinatown. In between, it was a bit stressful, as I wasn’t sure that everyone would be able to turn up without getting into trouble as it seemed that all group leaders were more than a little lost about where to go. And yeah, I got so strung up I almost cried. Almost.
I bought the hair comb thinghy that could do your hair up into forty styles though. It did mean that Camille owed me $5, coz we were supposed to share, with both of us the only two who had long enough hair to put up. Me, only just barely. And when the guy did the sample on me, Jun Lin said I looked like an old grandma! >_< (certainly quite a day for insults) But, hey, there were some cool styles. =D
Tomorrow Punggol Central Church again...! And I have to wake a certain guy up... or remind him... so he says.
And yeah, if I haven’t mentioned it enough,
My M’sian juniors are fricking cute! Even if 99.99% of them are taller than me. Heck, the only ones shorter than me are the 13 year olds. Which is depressing enough, without the OTHER juniors constantly reminding me of their vertical superiority in comparison to my dwarfish height.
