The hols are here again, and I really need to write down a to-do list for the holidays.

1) Learn how to bake decent cookies

2) Learn how to reformat a computer

3) Learn how to program a simple game

4) FINISH the Odessey

5) Study for Prelims 1 (instead of last minute revision AGAIN):
a) actually understand Physics
b) try not to tear my hair out at Maths
c) not be discouraged by utter stoopidity

6) Weigh 45 kg (yes, impossible, i know)

7) Spend quality time with my brother (before he gets corrupted by Angmo-ness)

8) Watch all the movies I missed

and while I'm at ridiculously impossible things to do I might want to;

9) figure out the meaning of life

10) achieve world peace

Hmm... Might add to the list later. At the very least, I tried being ambitious. What was it about aiming for the stars and hitting the moon?

Okay.
This is it.
I NEED Happy! by Urusawa Naoki.
Serious.
I don't understand just WHY all the scanlators decide NOT to scanlate Happy! by Urasawa Naoki when it's so darn GOOD.
It's depressing.
Even the j-drama is not around because somehow... it's not as popular.
But I think it's really good, though.

It's about a 18 year old girl who quits school to play tennis because of 250 mil yen debt caused by her brother to the yakuza. Apparently he had some weird business venture and shoved the debt to his younger sister. Her parents were both killed by her brother because of a puffer-fish based restaurant the same idiotic brother thought to open. Siggghhh, it's really interesting.

And it's acted by Aibu Saki of Attention Please!, Zettai Kareshi and Waterboys; all of which are up on mysoju. Dammit!!!!

I wonder if I can somehow buy the manga off somewhere.

Becca is happy.

Just came back from Limelight.

Really liked it.
The alumni band not so much, the school band much much MORE.

The free seating, by the way was anything but. Ee One and I were both stuck in the circle seats upstairs, with a bird eye's view of everything but surrounded by people we didn't really know.
Even April was separated from her parents, forced to sit next to two ghost seats.

I'd post pictures, but experience from English class warned me from posting anything as such online - considering anyone could just use my picture to depict a random narrative character (probably an ugly stepsister or something) like certain people did. Which is kinda freaky, I guess.

Met Wei Ming in the train and was kinda shocked. Saw my juniors meeting up with their friends and felt quite disappointed because most of the people I knew didn't go. Except Chelsea and Darryl and April. Of which one I saw for a grand total of five seconds, the other pangsei-ing me, and the last sitting very far from me. But other than that, no one really.

One last comment.

Scholar guys are WEIRD.

Nevertheless, might post group photo (a relatively safer option than photos of small quantities of people) on blog; as soon as I receive it from April. =D

This is so troublesome.

And I can invent some crap about school pride while wearing school uniform.
I mean, why else would I wear school uniform other than to display my gratification of our school band performing in Esplanade in public, no less? After all, it's my heart's deepest, darkest desire to display the school emblem for the world to see.

Going to KL in 19 days time....! (can't wait to see everyone again... hopefully i won't get kicked out of class so often. and that certain people's mother won't ground them)

On a different note, tomorrow is Limelight, band concert - can't wait. Aside from the fact that it's going to end supremely late; and will probably leave me exhausted on Wednesday. Still, there's no tests on Wed, and remedial's canceled so long we finish our assignments because of the concert; so I guess its okay.

And class outing no.2, (for the year) at Seoul Garden! Buffet for roughly $15 and movie, probably Angels and Demons... Really hope that I won't splurge too much there, and that more than 15 people turn out this time.

Becca is annoyed.

Today, Bio test got cancelled. Along with Chem test.
Which is very frustrating considering I stayed up late to study Bio.
And I didn’t sleep at all the previous night because I was too pissed as my room mates. So I got a total of five hours of sleep in two days.
Here’s what happened.

I brought my juniors up to my room, to hang out and talk a bit. This, note, is a very frequent occurrence, and one perfectly fine in terms of hostel rules. But we got kinda noisy after a while - and our roommates, instead of telling us face to face that we were making a lot of noise, went down to the hostel manager and TOLD THEM WE WERE NOISY. And we were like right, next to them.

The worst part was that April actually got into a bit of trouble because she’s part of the hostel comm and the manager was like, “As a member of the hostel comm you should be able to at least keep quiet.”

WHAT.
THE.
HECK.

God, I meant; they were my fricking roommates, and not mere acquaint either! We occasionally talked a little. Superficial things, sure; but there was still actual POLITE conversation.
All they could have done was ask us to shut up and we would leave the room or something, but they, instead complained to a person in authority!
Annoying.

And it's not like they weren't ever noisy. They actually brought outside people into the room without informing me beforehand - which is something I cannot stand either, because I kinda want to make sure everything is neat and tidy before other people enter my room - my PERSONAL space. But hey, even then; I left the room so that they wouldn't feel awkward, eventhough I had things to do, and this time, just because I brought juniors in, juniors of which were members of the same hostel, they found it convenient to go downstairs to the general office to whine to the management.

I hate them.

Which is why April and I are now staying away from our room as often as possible.

On a side note, Kyoukai no Rinnne chapter 2 & 3 was out two days ago.

I haven't been online lately, though the reason as to why I haven't is fairly simple.

I busted my laptop battery.

I overcharged it... By SIX HOURS.

And my laptop, being part of the first generation Macs, did not have the function in which the charger would automatically shut itself should the laptop be fully charged. So the max time my laptop has without connected to the power socket is 50 MINUTES. Which is retardedly pathetic, considering it once had a max time of 3 1/2 hours, dropped to 2 4/5 hours for my last over charging and NOW to 50 MINUTES.

Now I have to save for a new battery, costing $200.

And now I have to pay $33.50 for Mother Tongue. The joy of not having EduSave.

Yes. I've gotten all the punctual birthday presents. Left with only the belated ones, so it's only numbers 1-3. Went to Compasspt today to get all the stuff I could possibly need. Wanted to go to the library after that, but waited until 12.30 from 10.40 without it showing any signs of opening. Gave up and went home.......=.=

Side note, I finally got my MetalGreymon! AND on my way to getting MagnaAngemon and Wizardmon. =D =D

Oh, and it seems that east coast seems to be the general choice for class outing.

Becca is topsy-turvy.

YAY.
Bought Priscilla's present already, so one less person to worry about. It's a Chocolate biscuit pillow! (veryveryverycute) It suits two of her criteria, adorable AND practical. If she doesn't want to sleep with it, I'm sure she'll find some other proper use for it, like; causing physical damage to Huiting when she's laughed too much. Or vice versa. I'm not really picky.

SOMEONE baked her a cake! (*cue coos of adoration*)

Today Mr. Lee SPIT on me. Well, he kinda talked, and a HUGE GOB OF SALIVA LANDED ON MY HAND. I was so shocked. I mean, usually; Mr. Lee has these tiny droplets of saliva spewing about when he talks directly in front of us, but this one was HUMONGOUS.
Not joking.
Spittle is no fun.

So yeah, I actually took out an umbrella to prevent him from splattering me with further but he didn't let me use it. He did, however say, that his saliva was very "powerful" because once it landed upon skin, no other bacteria will land upon the affected area either. Additionally, he added that his saliva today was even more impressive than usual because he was just talking to Mr. Cheng and Mr. Cheng is famous for his toxicity.

Right.

And it seemed he marked most of our bio test papers already. He's almost as fast as Mr. Chew in marking test papers actually, something I find really scary. Especially because bio papers, especially those set by Mr. Lee are deadly, and something that I really don't want to get back. Chemistry however, is SLIGHTLY better.

Oh yeah..... For all those from 02, we NEEED A CLASS OUTING.
Preferably one this Monday, actually.

DECISION ON WHERE TO GO IS IMPORTANT AND SHOULD BE MADE ASAP!!!
(otherwise I might just choose a crappy place and nobody will want to go... =( )

Becca is feeling poor.

Birthdays are horrible days, when it doesn’t belong to you.

For one thing, you have to agonize about the money required to scrimp up a decent birthday gift.

For another thing you have to freak out over what EXACTLY to get, whether’s its appropriate or otherwise.

So whoever said “It’s the thought that counts” really DESERVES TO BE INCINERATED.

Now I have tonnes of birthday presents still haven’t bought yet. (FORGIVE ME.)

Becca is trying to convince herself that she still CAN get A1 for O lvl A Maths.

I am impressed with myself, especially for my AMath's result, in which I lost a ridiculously huge sum of marks for once again, the negative sign. I think it stalks me on purpose and destroys all my attempts to attain better marks for Maths. And due to "simplification" and two other mistakes that I can't exactly remember, I lost 3 marks; effectively dropping me from a B3 to a C5.

And the worst part is, Ms. Yeo didn't even say anything to me -- which mean she expects these kind of marks from me all the while...!!!!

AND this was the test I thought I could do quite well in, as opposed to the Probability and Vectors one which I undoubtedly screwed up. I really dread getting back that paper. Burning is too merciful a fate for that paper.

We were discussing poetry again for Lit, and this time it was Singaporean poems. I think they're really cool; you don't get stuff like that in Malaysia. You'll probably find some random patriotic stuff in Malay that only people with more than 50 years of experience in Malay can even understand.

(Which reminds me, I see Ivan writing Malay poems...! 0_o)

So, right... The poets were two guys, I suppose - and someone happened to ask if their were homosexually inclined. And Mr. Cheng concurred. The thing is, the poet of the "Supermarket..." poem was ALSO gay. And he had an entourage of other homosexual people as well, like Garcia Lorca and Walt Whitman. So...

Moral of the story: All of the male poets in Mr. Cheng's class are GAY.

Sprained my leg somehow, and it really hurts to walk - but went for PE anyway. Before you laugh at my stupidity, it really looked fun at that point of time okay...! Especially when it was either play or subject my head for target practice as other girls aim for the hoop directly above me.

So my leg kinda got worse.
I was limping all the way back, when I was walking home. Serious. And I think I took double the time I normally do.... =.=

One would think with all the fat cushioning it, my legs would be less apt to injure itself. I guess not.

Oo. Bio test tomorrow.

Egyptian jokes about my hair aside, I think my juniors are pretty funny.

There was this Sec 3 guy who said, “Rebecca your face is very arousing.... It’s very hideous.”

I really laughed, considering that both words are so different. I think someone taught him the wrong meaning... which is a relatively common occurence.

So yeah, juniors are fun. To laugh at.
Because they’re now having their mid-years and it’s my chance to poke fun at them as they’ll probably bully me when prelims roll by.

Well, anyway, I discovered that Zhiling actually played Pheonix Wright too... I thought it was a very uncool, considering it lacked much action and stuff; but I really liked it anyway; so it was kinda a shock realising how big a fanbase it has. Pheonix Wright: Ace Attorney, incidentally; is the game that I was playing when Ms Lxx came and bugged me.

Which I rather not talk about because just the memory of it pisses me off.

Mr. Cheng told us about his girlfriend who’s married to a Jew, in lieu of a semi-biblical poem, something about “a refusal to mourn a child’s death by fire in London”.... I think. And it was really funny, because he was going on and on about how the guy was a jerk and someone said, “If your girlfriend ditched you for him, what does it say about you?” Poor YouthfulGoodLooks... =(
(and if you haven’t noticed, ppl of Lit class tend to get away with murder in his lessons, as long as diversion of attention towards his physical attributes are made... and he allows it, somehow.)

Was so exhausted at class today, felt so worn out somehow... I didn’t, however; fall asleep in Mr. Lee’s class, something I’m really proud of achieving considering how tired I felt. If you haven’t noticed, we people at the front were eyeing each other conspirationally when the song Umbrella played out. If you don’t get it; umbrellas are protection against flying droplets of water. Read between the lines. And note, April and I hold out our Bio textbooks/bag respectively as defense mechanisms.

The weirdest part was when I asked him whether we could already go home at 3, he said “Yeah, no remedial what.” WHICH WAS KINDA POINTLESS BECAUSE HE DIDN’T NOTICE HE ALREADY FINISHED ONE HOUR AND FORTY FIVE MINUTES ON HIS LESSON. - and he felt that he finished on time... ...... ....

Today, Cam, April, YT (and E1, a little...) were talking about how much we missed Hwa Chong and the boarding stuff there. (and reminiscing about the fact that insert-attribute-of-which-shall-not-be-mentioned-in-public-here) And the worst part is that April’s invited to go to HC’s boarding council investiture, undoubtedly an attempt to gloat about their system, of which we already acknowledged is vastly superior to ours.

Okay.

After freaking out, I have decided to ignore her.
After all, if other scholars from other schools can DOTA 24/7, my little DS games won't be much of a problem.
And it's a little hard to respect someone who had trouble telling what paper was.

Anyway, today was EL and SS papers...
Didn't exactly prepare for them, with me being in Johor and all; and was kinda freaked out. (Although I DID study all three chapters --- a freaking waste of time)

For EL I wrote an essay on "Home", pretty much what 50% of the population chose as well... Kinda regretted I did that topic because it turned out to be so common it's boring..

I wrote about an old man who was sent into a nursing Home. It was called Home, but was actually just a centre in which people sold their family members as slaves. So this old man actually resented his family quite a bit, and missed his wife who died from cancer. Anyway, this Home is really sinister because the number of people dying has increased exponentially. All of a sudden, the main chara was called by the owners of the Home. He was brought into a room where he was completely immersed into darkness... They congratulated him, saying that he contained the cure to cancer. He was kinda happy, because he could help others like him. Bt then they killed him to extract all his blood to utilize it. And he died thinking of his wife and meeting her. Then he was finally home.

I think quite lame la.. Also, I think Mr. Cheng said something about not killing off your characters - but I guess I simply couldn't help it.

So anyway, my haircut got quite a lot of unnecessary attention.. I kinda like it, actually. But everyone's making such a fuss about it I really can't admit that to other ppl.. Sad, really. The hairdresser was really, really nice. He looked like Edna. From the Incredibles, the male version, of course.

And he actually took time to think of what to cut for me, before actually referring to a book to make sure it's the suitable hairstyle. I mean, most hairdressers just do whatever, and it turns out like crap. He put so much effort in and it turned out quite cool, only it looking weird when tied up.

SIghh... kinda bored now, still pissed over the computer games thing.

And there I thought Singapore was hot,
Because apparently, Johor is JUST as hot.
I practically melted on the way to my cousin's house when I stopped by at a random hawker centre. It had like a zinc overhead roof, which was SUPPOSED to protect us from the heat. It merely amplified the radiation and singed our hairs. I think my scalp got sunburnt.

Anyway, today before my parents came to pick me up, I could hear the hostel event going on; and it sounded so fun...! I was so jealous and was in the midst of contemplating whether I should crash in when I met Jingyi and realised that, although he had previously signed himself up for the event, he decided NOT to go because he was lazy. Other members of our school were in equal states of sloth or disinterest, and it seemed like only Ee One and I, the two who were not able to make it; payed relative attention to what was going on outside.

AND I SIT NEXT TO THE WINDOW SO I HEAR CHEERING EVERY FIVE SECONDS.

I had to endure several centuries (translation: minutes) of the sounds of people having fun when my parents finally came. They were actually late because they got into an ACCIDENT.

Their car collided with a taxi driver's fender, causing it to have a small crack. And since the taxi driver was fully aware my parents were not from Singapore (car plate number), he demanded a $300 compensation for repairs. My parents didn't exactly know how much it would actually cost and didn't want to go to the police station to make a report to get insurance claims because they didn't know how long it would take... so they paid the $300. And I have a nagging feeling that they just got swindled. Like serious.

Which reminds me of Zhiling's car being robbed in JB that one time. I told my dad that and he told me she was lucky the car was still there.

...........

Tommorrow I'm going to get my haircut! It's supposedly from a long-haired hairdresser, who's a man, and I had to make an appointment to see him.... 0_o Usually I just walk-in saloons, but I guess that's not good enough, huh.

SS test on Monday, and I really gotta do very well. Mdm Yeo's really being nice to me, so much so I wouldn't know what to do if I flunk again... I told her it was completely the fault of student's (a.k.a. me) if the dissemination of information is faulty, which is a common occurence, at least; to me.
