Becca feels plasmolysed.
Today’s captain ball was kinda tiring.
For one thing, it was a little onesided, with most of the guys in one team, and most of the girls in the other.
And as almost all co-ed sports go, we didn’t get the ball as often as the guys did. Mostly it was because of the fact that the guys had manymany inches on us and could intercept all our throws. (and the fact that I have sucky stamina) I’m pretty sure if all of us girls had like an extra 10cm if height, the game would be no problem. And I kept knocking into people by accident (or being knocked into) that I felt like a human pinball.
(I kinda pity Weiming, who was practically the sole person on the team)
I also GREW DARKER by a trillion shades. At first, I was a little fairer (if one could use that word) than Xiaoqi. 45 minutes of captain ball later, I was WAY DARKER than her. Now does it make sense why I cart an umbrella with me everyday?! I would totally put sunblock, but with my pathetically sensitive skin, I’d develop rashes instead. And it’s just before I go back to KL, so I’ll have to put up with the comments of me being practically black again. WHY.
Aside that, It seems that for our Mid Years, we’ll be covering ALL chapters for ALL subjects. Finding that out when we have about approximately 100 pages to go for Organic Chem (with alcohols and carboxylic acids and polymers) is hardly good news. Apparently we’re going to have to stay back for extra lessons - but I really can’t; considering I HAVE to go back already.
And I didn’t know there was only ONE Prelim. As usual, I kinda daydream whenever someone takes the podium, so I never paid attention. (Hence, the t-shirt problem the other day) And I was mortified to found out that Mid Year is essentially our first prelim - Madam Liew really made it worse with her announcement that most people don’t improve more than two grades, if at all; from their prelims. THAT’S FREAKING SCARY.
And oh, I didn’t fail my Chem Electrolysis test, despite contrary expectations.
ONE MORE DAY.
